The Derby Makers Project (DMP) is growing collective of talented makers in the city.
The project is created by Derby based photographer, Daniel Dytrych. It was started out of the love for photography and to provide a resource for the people of Derby, to find makers who make great things.
The project benefits the maker as they become more discoverable and the people looking for unique handmade products can find them through this collective. All of the makers in this collective I meet in person and find out about what they make. This is then documented in a blog post and shared on this site.
We are very particular with the quality of makers we feature in the collective. All of the makers listed are producing high quality works in Derby.
The plan is to carry on growing the collective over the next few years and to hopefully release a book. If you feel you know of a maker that should be listed, but isn’t, please get it touch!
DMP is a non-profit project and funded myself.
